If you need to buy likes, followers, friends or pay for google reviews you need your priorities checked because you suck.
Popularity doesn’t get you paid it only strokes your ego. Popularity is a byproduct of creating results for people.
Most people today are so fixated on being popular their existence hinges on their likes and stats.
I’ve been hinged on my own likes, so I am not saying I am a saint. But I would never buy fake followers to get ahead.
Seriously. What happened to hard work? Bunch of fucking lames.
Here is a little story.
I had a recent meeting with an accounting professional. I found the persons information after a referral and I checked them out online.
Seemed pretty legit, this person we will name Bob to protect the guilty. I noticed he had 140, 5 star reviews.
I immediately said wow this guy is a champ. Let me call him. He called back within 5 minutes. Great. He was sharp and aggressive. Just like I like my professionals and my women to be.
I went to meet him with my wife Jessica.
Bob rambled on about a lot of stuff but kept speaking directly to my wife a lot.
Now it’s all good my wife is hot. It’s not anything I have never seen before. So he was supposed to go over my book keeping. And reconcile some last minute stuff. But my books were in pretty good order from my current accountant.
I was thinking of switching but stayed thankfully.
He did mention he needed $2000 to bring everything up to par. I thought that was odd the books were done all year long.
I gave him my log ins from Dropbox and had him go at it.
I also told him how I didn’t understand what 2k was for. He tried to turn it back on me about something like he’s not sure how in depth the damage is… Damage?
Any how he then gave me my estimates for the year which was 3 times more than any accountant I have ever spoke to in my entire life. But such is people’s pricing if I am getting quality, so be it.
As the time progresses he tells me to look over my “updated” P and L. I cross referenced them with my past books and realized I had been had for 2k. He forgot to add the last months numbers as my original accountant didn’t yet either.
He called me feverishly but I never picked up. I told him to finish my books and send me my documents via email. At that time I looked at my logs in Dropbox. He never went in 1 time.
I told him “send me my documents your prices are not what you initially estimated (they increased as our talks went on or as he saw how much I made) and I will make a decision shortly.”
Prior to this he oddly texted me over the weekend asking me what my wife thought of him.
Huh? She thought you were a douchebag really.
He even mentioned that he trained MMA. Little did he know I am a BJJ Purple belt and avidly train.
I asked who his instructor was and he told me. Funny thing is I know the instructor. So I reached out to him and found out he hasn’t trained with him in years…. So my mind started to go. I don’t understand. How does someone have 140, 5 star reviews on Google and be a skell? Hmmm.. Then I started to dig.
One thing you should know about me is I am a grand master at research and uncovering even the oldest lawsuit minutes and foul play online. I am an amazing Dig Dirt Researcher.
I learned this when I worked at my 2nd financial institution on Wall street it was something I had to do often on prospects.
If it exists I will find it. SO I started to dig. Found out he had some complaints, was in a lawsuit or 2, but most of all I started to look at his reviews better. Noticed they went from 150, to 130 overnight.
Whoa…….. Found out he posted on a site about losing his emails and someone responded either you had some issues with google or you are buying fake reviews.
After perusing the reviews I come to find out no one posted anywhere else. Usually a reviewer is a reviewer. They review stuff. Then I found the golden egg. A review in his reviews from a guy in Pakistan. How are you doing taxes for people in Pakistan? Hmmm… You can’t be. Then looking on this persons page I see he runs… Yep you guessed it an SEO company.
Ahh… Long story short Monday morning I got my 2k check in the mail with a note best of luck. Someone who would buy fake reviews would do other shady things in life.
Now onto other stuff.
If you are even thinking of crossing that morality line think again.
I don’t care if so and so has 100k followers. I know people making multiple six figures with a list of 1000 emails.
Someone who would do something like that is deplorable. Earn your shit.
You don’t need to buy likes. It’s not about numbers it’s about quality. I have maybe 850 people on Instagram as followers, but they are all genuine followers. Nothing to write home about at all. It is what it is.
SO here is how to spot a fraud:
IG followers, FB Fans, Google Reviews, grow and shrink over night. Chances are they are SEO companies running scripts or apps that get fake likes. Those same accounts get shut down really quick.
Ratio of Followers / Fans to likes shares. If the person in question has 10,000 followers and their post has 60 likes. Chances are they are bought. A real engaged account will have 1000’s when having 10,000. 10% or more is a good ratio.
Look at the accounts of the followers or fans / reviews, if the account has 6000 followings, and 3 followers and 4 images of middle eastern or asian images. They are fakes. Set up to get more followers or leads.
Google reviews – reviewers review. If the person has 100 reviews and they are all 5 stars, chances on no ones that great check their reviews, are the accounts reviewing others? If not, probably not real.
Remember people who do this are unscrupulous. They will do this to get ahead what else will they do behind closed doors? Bend the truth? Exaggerate numbers? Sure people change, but usually if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it’s a duck.
I learned this from my family at a young age.
Doing the right this is important. Doing the right thing when no one is watching is what makes up your charecter and who you are.
Never give that up for trying to get ahead. Integrity is hard to build and easy to lose.
It boils down to this. Sometimes some people are fucking bullshit artists.
To paraphrase something I heard from a really intelligent dude Garrett J White.
There is a passage in the bible about bread and the stone.
“You parents–if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead?
And it simply means most people walk through life not giving you the bread of who they are instead they give a stone of a story.
On one hand you have tatted up assholes all steroid up macho as can be, angry, nasty, fighting all the time, but you know why they are like that? Because inside they are scared shitless.
On the other hand you have the holy than thou mr Church going good doer lover of god and all things great. Yet behind closed doors they are the ones at the strip clubs and doing blow. They love to talk about how great the glory is but they will condemn the hell out of someone else for not having the same beliefs.
Or the people who pretend to be so in the middle, so vanilla, not wanting to show emotion, not wanting to show who they are. Afraid to be who they are as they are afraid to be judged. “oh someone may not buy from you” If they won’t buy from me because of who I am then oh well.
Most of the people on Instagram serve up a lie, they serve up a story.
A story to make you believe they are super popular, they create to be popular, instead of creating for results.
Chose who you want to be.
You lay with the devil, you wake up in hell.
